There are tournaments, and then there are tournaments with a backdrop. Faceoff at the Falls is firmly in the second category. Set in Niagara Falls, New York, our signature fall series gives teams competitive hockey wrapped in one of the most iconic destinations in the country.

But before we get into the falls, the food, and the on-ice matchups, we want to tell you about something bigger that's changing at Nickel City Hockey, because Faceoff at the Falls is the first place you'll see it in action.

We're Building Series, Not One-off Weekends

Most tournaments live and die in a single weekend. You pick a date, you hope it lines up with your team's schedule, and if it doesn't, you're out of luck until next year. We think that model leaves a lot on the table, for families, for coaches, and for the kind of tradition that makes a tournament worth coming back to.

So we're changing how we do things. Going forward, Nickel City events are being built as series rather than individual tournaments. Instead of one isolated weekend, each of our marquee events now runs across multiple dates, giving teams a slate of options under one banner.

• More dates to choose from. If one weekend doesn't fit your calendar, another one likely will — same event, same staff, same experience.

• A chance to build a rhythm. Come back to the same series more than once in a season, or return year after year, and the trip starts to feel less like a logistics exercise and more like a tradition.
